Arrive in the charming town of Samoëns to begin your French Alps horse riding holiday.
Explore cobbled streets and enjoy a relaxing walk through La Jaysinia Botanical Gardens, home to 8 000 plant species and medieval ruins.
Later, meet your riding guide for dinner and a week-ahead briefing.
Overnight in a cozy 3-star hotel in Samoëns.
🌿 Day 2 – Ride Along the Giffre Valley: Nature and Heritage
After breakfast, continue your French Alps horse riding holiday along the picturesque Giffre Valley.
Ride past forests and farmlands, then visit La Chartreuse de Mélan, a historic monastery and cultural site.
Enjoy lunch beside Lake Flérier before returning to your hotel for dinner and rest.
💦 Day 3 – Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval: Waterfalls and Alpine Charm: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Today’s ride takes you to Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, one of France’s most beautiful villages.
You’ll follow the Giffre River, cross wooden bridges, and admire Cascade du Rouget, the region’s iconic waterfall.
Enjoy light trots through lush pastures before camping overnight at Le Pelly, surrounded by alpine peaks.
🏞️ Day 4 – Golèse Pass: Ride Above the Clouds: Breakfast, Lunch.
Set off early along the GR5 trail toward Golèse Pass (1 784 m).
Ride through blooming meadows and pine forests, stopping for lunch at Sebastian Baud Guesthouse.
Afterwards, ascend to your mountain lodge and enjoy dinner with sweeping alpine views.

Day 5 (Thursday) 4th Riding Day: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Continue your French Alps horse riding holiday through high-altitude meadows.
Admire colorful wildflowers and distant glaciers.
After lunch, enjoy a short scenic ride to your mountain accommodation at 1,400 meters, surrounded by alpine views and peaceful nature.
