This horseback riding tour from Luxor Stables includes a daily beautiful horseback ride on Luxor’s West Bank and visits to all important sites and is a unique holiday opportunity to view the world’s biggest open-air museum (Luxor, Egypt) from the back of a horse. About Luxor Stables:
Since 1995, Luxor Stables has operated as a family business on the West Bank of the Nile in Luxor and is the only stable to hold official government certification. The stables are owned and run by Nobi. The lead guides, Mamdoh and Mohamed, have many years of combined experience leading riders of various skill levels. Animal welfare is extremely important to Luxor Stables. The horses are kept together in spacious paddocks, they have good roughage and always drinking water available. The horse harness is well fitting and well maintained.

Day 1 Arrival:
- Check in, Lunch at the Accommodation Enjoy a delicious lunch on the roof terrace of the accommodation.
- To the stables: You are given a tour of the stables, meet the guides and horses, and get matched with a horse that is suitable for you, Nile and Village ride To get to know your horse, start with an easy leisurely 1.5-hour ride through the villages and palm-lined paths along the west bank of the River Nile.
- Dinner at the stables, Relax and enjoy a superb home-cooked dinner that is authentically Egyptian.
Day 2:
Start the day off with a private tour of the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Habu Temple with a knowledgeable Egyptologist guide
Enjoy a delicious freshly prepared lunch overlooking the desert and the Valley of the Queens Habu Temple and Desert Sunset ride
This afternoon there is a 3 hour ride on the program. Ride through villages and fields, passing the Ramesseum, the tombs and Habu Temple at the foot of Mount Thebes before arriving in the desert. Enjoy a breathtaking desert sunset from the top of a sand dune!
Dinner at accommodation, The private chef will prepare a delicious meal.

Day 3:

Day 4: Desert Sunrise Ride to watch the hot air balloons
Rise early for today’s breathtaking 3-hour sunrise ride. Watch the hot air balloons take off as you ride towards the desert and mountains. Breakfast is at a cafeteria nearby Habu Temple
- Felucca sailing trip with lunch
- After the early ride, unwind aboard a felucca sailboat and observe West Bank rural life and East Bank bustling Luxor City. On the boat, a wonderful lunch is served.East Bank tour
- With our Egyptologist guide you visit the temples on the East Bank of Luxor: Karnak and Luxor temple and take a city tour
- Dinner at El-Kababgy restaurant
- After the city tour have dinner at restaurant El-Kababgy on the Nile where you can taste various small authentic Egyptian dishes in a shared dinner
- After the early ride, unwind aboard a felucca sailboat and observe West Bank rural life and East Bank bustling Luxor City. On the boat, a wonderful lunch is served.East Bank tour
Day 5:
- Breakfast at accommodation, Countryside and mountain adventure
- Saving the most special and longest horse ride for last, this 5-hour ride takes you from the stables through the peaceful banana and sugar cane fields, through the villages with old mud houses, and up to Mount Thebes. From here, the panoramic view of Luxor and the West Bank is truly breathtaking! You will pass secret valleys and caves that are far off the beaten path. You return through the small town of New Qurna, past the beautiful temple of Seti 1, and back through the fields to the stables
- Lunch at a local restaurant, Dinner at accommodation
- On the last evening, the chef prepares an extra special dinner
Day 6:
Departure.

- Group size: 2 – 8 people
- Children: minimum age is 8 years old and children under 18 years old need to be supervised
